Father, we come to Your throne of grace with thankful hearts.  We are thankful that we belong to you, and that we have the assurance that you are ever watching over your children.

Help us, Father, to depend upon Your Word.  Help us, Father, as a church, to stand faithful and true.  Help us, Father, to extend arms of love that we might help the suffering, the weary, the broken, the sad, the discouraged, and the disappointed – whatever the condition may be. 

Father, I pray that we will be able to preach the Word and not compromise it; to believe the truth and not compromise it; and to believe in holiness and not compromise it.  May Your will have its perfect results in our lives.

Guide us now, Father, and touch us and keep us in the hollow of Your hand.  Help us in our times of despair never to lose hope in the church, never to lose the direction of salvation, and never to forget where we receive our help and our strength in time of need.
